On May 24th, 1894, six religious sisters from Montreal began in an old tavern and hotel a hospital that would go on to serve the region for over 100 years. To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Fanny Allen Campus, the University of Vermont Medical Center will be hosting a Founder's Day Celebration Wednesday, May 22nd from 11 am to 1 pm, on the grounds by the garden. Lunch will be provided and the public is welcomed.

In honor of Sister Fanny Allen, and remembering those in our community who are hungry, please bring a donation of non-perishable food items to benefit the Colchester Food Shelf.
