SPRING FLEA MARKET AND EASTER FOOD SALE IN WEST PAWLET, VERMONT, by Janice B. Edwards, Freelance Writer

A Spring Flea Market and Easter Food Sale will be held in West Pawlet, Vermont Saturday, April 19th from 9 am to 3 pm. Sponsored by the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Spring Flea Market and Easter Food Sale will be held at the fire station, which is located on Vermont Route 153 (Main Street) in the community. All are welcome!

Auxiliary member Edna Winot said that a lot will be going on throughout the day. She explained that the Easter Food Sale will offer many homemade items including rolls, pies, cakes, decorated Easter cakes, cupcakes, cookie platters, baked beans, Polish nut rolls, and lots more! A family fun day, for the children, face painting will be available all day long. Then, beginning at 12:30 pm, special activities will begin for the children. There will be gifts for children.

The Spring Flea Market will have a variety of flea market items. Some vendors will have jewelry and hand-made candles, and Mary Kay cosmetics. Vendor tables in the market area are available for rent at $10 each – 1st come, 1st serve. Reserve a table soon! To reserve a table, call Edna at (802) -645-0174

The Ladies Auxiliary will also serve lunch during this day-long Spring Flea Market and Easter Food Sale event. The luncheon menu will include: hot dogs, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, corn chowder, deviled eggs, chips, apple crisp, soda and coffee.
Edna said they aim to have a fun day!

The Ladies Auxiliary also has several raffles and the winners will be announced April 19th - - an Easter Raffle, a 50/50 Raffle, and an Easter Ham Dinner Raffle. Tickets are $1.00 each. One does not have to be present to win.

Additionally, another raffle will award four prizes to lucky winners including a: 1) Telescope patio set; 2) an EMS Sporting Goods’ 2-day kayak rental, 3) a ½ gallon of Vermont maple syrup from Lewis Farm of Rupert; 4) a $15.00 gift certificate to Minogues Beverage. These raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
