Start planning now for the annual plant sale at the Underhill Town Hall on Saturday, June 1st. This fun event starts promptly at 9 AM, so arrive early to peruse the offerings and stake out your first choice. When the moderator says "Go", you can take that plant to your gathering spot and stand by your second choice, and so on, until the plants are all gone. It's only $5 for the first, $3 for the second, $2 for your third pick, and $1 each for all subsequent choices.
We invite the town's gardeners to bring perennials, annuals, seedlings (flower or vegetable), shrubs, berries, or other healthy plants to share. Bring them by 8:45 in pots, bags, boxes, or any other type of container.
You can also post digging rights if you have a lot of plants to offer. Bring a postcard describing the plants, when would be a good time to dig (e.g., peonies in the fall, etc.), and your name and contact information.
Proceeds will benefit the programs and work of the Underhill Conservation Commission. For questions, contact Karen at 899-4185 or Nancy, 899-3972.
Please note that the sale starts at 9 AM sharp and typically wraps up in about 15 minutes. Every year a few people arrive shortly after 9:00 only to discover that the sale is already over. Don't be one of those disappointed people!
