Five years ago, as Shelburne celebrated its 250th anniversary, the Shelburne Historical Society revived its role as the custodian of the town's colorful history, with a commitment to preservation, education and lots of interesting programs for the community.
On May 20 at 6:30 at the Shelburne Town Offices Room 1, Shelburne Historical Society will celebrate its fifth anniversary, inviting all members and non-members to come to celebrate five years of incorporation and to hear about some landmark news. This will be an opportunity to hear about the past year's activities, and learn of the exciting move of the Society's operations to the renovated Town Hall, and awarding of a grant to SHS that will enhance its role as a conserver of the town's history, and a source of historical information for the community. This meeting will be a moment for Shelburne residents to help plan the next five years … and beyond.
