Got broken stuff? The CVU Environmental Action Club (EnACT) and the CVU Sustainability Hub teaming up with Transition Town Charlotte and other organizations to host a Repair Cafe on Saturday, May 18th from 10-2. We excited to announce some amazing new offerings at the Repair Cafe including… minor bike repairs and tuneups, bike wheel tuning, power tool and printer repairs, computer and smartphone troubleshooting, smartphone battery replacement, blue jean patching using Japanese-style stitching (sashiko), and even someone who will make a blue jean skirt from your old jeans!

This is a jamming fun community event where volunteers will offer no-cost repair of clothing, jewelry, electronics, small appliances, furniture, and more! You bring the broken stuff (and any necessary parts) and our volunteer fixers will use their skills to help you fix your stuff. Pre-registration is recommended. Please register your broken items at www.transitioncharlottevt.org. Snacks, lunch and beverages will be available.
