This Wednesday, May 15, TreeCity Event: Film and discussion with Karl Thidemann, co-founder of Soil4Climate.
7:00 - 8:30pm at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center.
Arrive early to register for Door Prizes!
How can we be part of the solution that reduces impacts from flooding and drought, and helps protect the future for our bees, trees, birds and children?
And what does soil have to do with it?
Join the members of the Montpelier Tree Board and Karl Thidemann for a viewing of two short films, "Soil Carbon Cowboys" and Allan Savory's "How to Green the World's Deserts and Reverse Climate Change" followed by a discussion about the role that healthy soils, ground cover, and trees play in determining a desirable future for our children.
Free and open to the public. Donations to support the work of the Montpelier Tree Board, who organized this TreeCity 2019 event, are greatly appreciated. The Montpelier Tree Board will give three copies of the book by Gabe Brown, Dirt to Soil, his very interesting and practical, real-life account of 25 years of restoring healthy soil on his ranch in North Dakota.
