The Otter Valley Aquarium Society (OVAS), of Pittsford, announces our 13th annual tropical fish auction on Sunday May 19, 2019.

The Auction, held at the American Legion Hall, 33 Washington Street in Rutland, is free and open to the public. The doors open at 9:30 AM for viewing the fish, plants, equipment and fish keeping supplies up for bid. The auction runs from noon till 5 PM.

Also included is a bowl show with cash prizes. To participate in a tropical fish bowl show people bring their favorite fish to the event to be judged by vote for People's Choice awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes. You need to bring a small fish tank to show your fish in (no larger than 10 gallons) and enough water from your home tank to show the fish in. The tank may only contain the fish and the water for the show, no decorations, sand, lights, or filters are allowed for judging. It is acceptable to bring an air pump for water circulation.
