The Lanpher Library is hosting a Poetry Slam on Friday, May 17th at 6:00. To prepare, join us for a workshop to explore the five dimensions of slamming: projection, expression, variety, eye contact and gesture. The session will start with a writing exercise, but bring a few of your own poems to work with too.

FRIDAY, MAY 17TH 6:00 Poetry SLAM!
Performance Poetry…open to ALL…
*Must be an original piece
*No props, costumes or musical instruments
Poets will perform their work and be "judged" by members of the audience.
Prizes will be awarded in 3 age categories:
Adult
Young Adult 13-18
Youth Under 13
Performances can be heartfelt, funny, social commentary, angry, sweet, personal….
The Lanpher Library Poetry Slam is a safe and welcoming event to all who wish to join us.
