Final Reminder - this Saturday, May 11, the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District is holding a mattress recycling collection at the Barre Town Dept of Public Works, 79 Pitman Rd (in the Wilson Industrial Park) from 8 am - 2 pm.
This is a great opportunity to have your old no longer useful mattress go to a recycling facility where materials will get separated and repurposed, rather than sending it to fill up Vermont's lone operating landfill.

The fee is $30 per mattress (regardless of size).

We can only accept dry mattresses or boxsprings, stained is OK - but dirty from being stored outside is not. Nothing wet, damp or moldy or severely twisted please.

This is a one time event.
