Hosted at the Rutland Rec Southeast Community Garden (110 Allen Street)
Presented by Shrewsbury Agricultural Education & Arts Foundation (SAGE) & Alchemy Gardens
Imagine a beautiful garden with bountiful harvests and minimal pest and disease problems! This workshop will help you learn how to prepare your garden beds by covering topics like sheet mulching, bed building, and amending your soil for maximum fertility. Simple additions to your garden's soil can mean healthier plants, less disease and pest pressure, and food that is as nutrient dense as possible. We'll also talk about seedling care and how to select plants for your garden. Ask questions about specific crops and hear answers from a professional vegetable farmer! We will be planting, so come prepared to get your hands dirty!
