If you don't want to cook this Saturday night, May 11, and want an affordable homecooked meal for dine in or take out, let me recommend attending the annual Ham Dinner and Silent Auction at Faith United Methodist Church on Dorset Street (across from Cairns Arena). The menu will include ham, gourmet macaroni and cheese, maple glazed carrots, cole slaw, buttermilk biscuits made from scratch, homemade pies, and beverages. The 6:15 seating is sold out but we still have tickets available for the 5:00 to 5:45 buffet. The cost is $ 12.00 for adults and $ 6.00 for children 10 and under. The silent auction will include over 75 items totaling over $ 4,500 and will run from 4:30 – 7:15 pm. You don't need to purchase a meal to participate in the silent auction. It's free!
