Chester Andover Family Center Empty Bowl Fundraiser
On May 16, 2019 the Empty Bowl Dinner will celebrate Art, Music, and Food while raising funds for the Chester Andover Family Center Food Shelf, Financial Assistance Program and the GMUHS Art Department.
Dinner will be served from 4:30-6:30 followed by an Art Show at 6 and a Pop's Concert at 7PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Dinner includes a hand-painted ceramic bowl, lovingly painted by local fourth, fifth and sixth graders, GMUHS students and Community Volunteers.
Thank you to our Community Partners for supporting this event; People's Bank, Black River Produce, Orchard Hill Breadworks, Heritage Bakery and Deli, Endless Creations Studio, Southern Pie Café, Lisai's and the Free Range Restaurant. Our "Flavors of the Nation" dinner along with your take home hand painted ceramic bowl is sure to please.
Under the guidance of Chef Jason from the Free Range, the GMUHS Iron Chef Teams will be cooking up four amazing soups. "California Coast" is a Chilled Spring Pea and Asparagus soup with Truffle Foam and Chive Blossoms. Representing New England, we will serve a Maine Lobster and Corn Chowder. Mid-western Minnesota offers diners a Wild Rice Soup with Smoked Chicken and Garden Herbs. Also on the menu is a Southwestern Spring Vegetable Soup with Black Beans in a Roasted Tomato Broth.
In addition to these gourmet soup choices, your meal will include a salad of organic Spring Greens with a choice of Maple Balsamic Dressing or Creamy Blue Cheese along with baskets of Bread from Orchard Hill Breadworks and Heritage Bakery and Deli. End your meal with a handmade dessert provided by the Southern Pie Café.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at GMUHS, the Chester Andover Family Center, Endless Creations Studio and the Free Range Restaurant.
