BBC Young Folk Musician award winner
Jarlath Henderson is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and doctor. Jarlath Henderson is a wildly inventive multi-instrumentalist and masterful balladeer from Northern Ireland who is best known as a remarkable player of uilleann pipes and whistles. A three-time All---Ireland Champion piper, Henderson revives traditional songs, such as murder and love ballads, with a somber intensity through his sublime original arrangements ("new and otherworldly"—NPR Music).
"The youngest ever winner of the BBC Young Folk Award, back in 2003, Tyrone-born multi-instrumentalist and singer Jarlath Henderson has since won further acclaim in his firebrand partnership with Scottish piper and whistle player Ross Ainslie. After rapturous reviews for their debut album *Partners in Crime*, released in 2008, and 2013's follow-up *Air-Fix*, the duo is now expandable into a thrilling six-piece band. Renowned primarily for his extraordinary prowess on uilleann pipes and whistles, while fast emerging as an equally gifted vocalist, Henderson has performed and recorded in such illustrious company as The Transatlantic Sessions, Jack Bruce, Lau, Capercaillie, Paddy Keenan, Salsa Celtica, Phil Cunningham, and Michael McGoldrick. His hotly-anticipated solo debut, *Hearts Broken, Heads Turned*, launched at Celtic Connections 2016, comprises bold yet sensitive arrangements of traditional songs, also featuring Henderson on guitar and cittern, together with his hand-picked accompanying line-up of Hamish Napier (keyboards, flute), Innes Watson (fiddle, guitar) and Duncan Lyall (double bass)." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWtibo4Mccs

Unleashing beguiling compositions and arrangements, from simple and complex, onto the world's stage.
