The Chelsea Arts Collective invites you to a musical performance at North Common Arts, as part of its Second Saturdays series. Jacob Martin is an Americana singer-songwriter, newly-based in central Vermont. His folk-style, storytelling approach to writing and performing merges his Virginia Appalachia roots with his training as an actor (Martin holds an MFA from the American Repertory Theater). He draws inspiration from his youth in the hollow, his fondness for nature, and the love he sees between the people around him. In his previous home in Santa Cruz California, he fronted the band Jacob and the Ghost Train. Their album, No Business Mountain, is a concept piece exploring boyhood and masculinity in shifting rural America. Jacob's friend Maranda Raye Chung from Maine will join him for this Second Saturday performance.

North Common Arts is on Chelsea's North Common next to Mary's Side Street Shop.

(Stop by the free community dinner at the United Church starting at 5:00pm, before heading over to North Common Arts!)
