Transition Town Jericho hosts Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper, On May 20
If you own property that has trees, no matter what size, learn the importance of their contribution to the climate. Also shared in this presentation; what is carbon sequestration and why is it important to as we try to do our part in mitigating climate change. Decisions you make concerning trees on your property can contribute to or help mitigate our changing climate and ecological sustainability. Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper to talk about how forest management fits into the transition town vision of creating a strong, connected, self-sufficient community, in addition to how it mitigates climate change and interacts with carbon sequestration and storage in our forests.
