Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - Marshfield and Plainfield work on transportation and other issues together, and Burlington achieves national recognition for its use of solar electricity.
9:00 - 10:00 am
Ross MacDonald was one of the outside experts brought in to a community conversation about the future of Marshfield and Plainfield this week. From his position in the Agency of Transportation, he describes programs that make it easier to achieve mobility in rural Vermont without a car. And event organizer Rich Phillips describes the plans behind the conversation.
Darren Springer is executive director of Burlington Electric Department, which was recently cited in an Environment America report for its high capacity of solar power per resident. He'll talk about that and what else Burlington is doing to achieve 100% renewable energy (not just electricity) by 2030.
10:00 - 10:30 am
Resilience Thoughts, a locally told Extempo story, plus upcoming events related to energy, food, and the local economy at the end of the age of oil.
