Vernal Pool Ecology Field Trip

Past event
May 11, 2019, 9 to 11 AM

Interested in learning more about vernal pools?

• The secretive animals that breed in them and their life histories
• How to identify amphibian egg masses
• The hydrology and ecology of these unique little wetlands
• And the broader role they play in our forested landscape?

If so, please join us for a field trip hosted by the Craftsbury Outdoor Center on May 11th, 2019, from 9:00-11:00am.

We will meet in the main parking area at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and either walk or carpool to a nearby pool. Please dress appropriately for whatever the weather has to offer: mud, bugs, rain, or snow.
Led by Dawn Morgan, wetland ecologist with 15 years of experience with vernal pool research, conservation planning, policy, outreach, mapping, and monitoring projects. For more information email Dawn - DawnEstelleMorgan@gmail.com
