VOLUNTEER FOR GREEN UP DAY, MAY 4
Green up Day is Saturday, May 4. Come help clean up Colchester's roads, beaches, parks and bike path.
You can pick up Green Up Day bags and road assignments at the Police Station on Blakely Road between 8 a.m. and noon that Saturday. The Conservation Commission, which coordinates Green Up efforts for the town, will provide instructions on where to leave bags for pick up by the Town's road crew; State Routes are picked up by state crews. You may select your own road or area to clean, provided it has not already been assigned, and can work as many hours as you want. To ensure pick up, bags must be left at roadside (not in yards, driveways, or by business signage).
After clean up, volunteers are invited to a free hotdog cookout, sponsored by the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club, from noon to 1 p.m.
