Saturday, May 11, join the Woodbury Conservation Commission for a trip to the town forest to explore a handful of vernal pools in search of frogs, salamanders, and their eggs. In between pools, we will also take a look at some of the birds who call the forest home as we begin to inventory the species who call this public resource home. Free and open to all ages, we will meet in the Woodbury Elementary School parking lot at 1:00 and walk roughly 1/2 mile along trails on somewhat hilly terrain to the vernal pools. We will spend short periods of time off-trail on potentially rocky terrain, so sturdy footwear is recommended. Waterproof is even better!
