5/8 NPA Meeting Re: Proposed Development Projects & MC Tour

Past event
May 8, 2019, 6:45 to 9 PM

Hello:
I know many of you have been waiting by your computers with great anticipation, wondering what we'll be talking about at the May 8 Wards 1 & 8 Neighborhood Planning Assembly ("NPA") meeting.

There'll be a pre-meeting tour of the new wing of the UVM Medical Center. Those interested should meet in the McClure Lobby at 6:00 PM.

As is becoming traditional, we'll start w/ an open house and refreshments starting at 6:45. Then we'll jump into an especially packed and interesting agenda. Here're some highlights to whet your appetite:

We'll discuss the Neighborhood Project – the goal of which is to identify strategies and tools for neighborhood stabilization efforts, increase the diversity of housing choices in near-campus neighborhoods, improve the quality of housing stock and improve residents' quality of life." https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/CEDO/The-Neighborhood-Project

We'll also hear presentations and offer our input on two proposed development projects:
1. A Proposed 57-unit, 3-4 story Apartment Project at 110 Riverside Ave, and
2. A Proposed 142 Room Hotel with 77 parking spaces at the Old YMCA Site.

For a full agenda and plans for the proposed hotel, please visit the NPA website: https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/CEDO/Ward-1-NPA-Agendas

We'll circulate the full agenda in early May, so stay tuned. We hope to see you on the 8th!
