In the summer of 1777 John Burgoyne launched an invasion through the Champlain Valley that resulted in his capitulation at Saratoga, an event that forever changed American history.
Join living historian Robert Grandchamp, a former reenactor with the British 24th Foot, for an insightful and revealing lecture focusing on the geographical, logistical, and military challenges facing the combined British and German Army as they invaded the Champlain Valley.
Robert Grandchamp is the award-winning author of fifteen books on American military history. He received his M.A. in American history from Rhode Island College. A former National Park Ranger, Robert is an analyst with the Federal government. He resides in Jericho Center.
