We would like to welcome you to a special screening of the Netflix documentary Reversing Roe, which presents an illuminating look at the state of abortion and women's rights in America. Following the screening is a panel discussion to engage the audience in a discussion of the film and abortion rights in Vermont.
Reversing Roe is executive produced by Eva Longoria and directed by Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern. It offers candid and riveting interviews with both supporters and opponents of reproductive rights, including key pro-women's health leaders such as Planned Parenthood of St. Louis Region (PPSLR) provider Dr. Colleen McNicholas, former Planned Parenthood presidents Cecile Richards and Faye Wattleton, former chair and current member of PPFA's Clergy Advisory Board Reverend Tom Davis. The film provides a gripping look at efforts to restrict access to abortion in 2018. Drawing from a wealth of historical footage, it charts the period leading up to the Roe decision — and documents the opposition that has followed ever since.
Join us to learn about the history of abortion access in America, discuss how together we can protect abortion in Vermont, and take a stand against abortion stigma in our culture today. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
