Arioso Concert

Arioso Notturno. The chamber group Arioso which comprises Linda Radtke, alto; Elizabeth Reid, violist; and Alison Cerutti, pianist; will perform Saturday evening, March 29, at the United Church in Northfield at 7:30PM. The group was formed in 2008, and debuted in May 2009, sponsored by the Paine Mountain Arts Council in Northfield and Cathedral Arts in Burlington. The program consists of several new works by Vermont composers including “Mother to Son” by Patricia Julien, “The Scree Dragon” by Lydia Busler-Blais, and “Romance” by Jacob Morton-Black, a freshman at Ithaca College who graduated from Colchester High School and won the All State Composition Scholarship in 2013. In addition to these world premieres Arioso will also offer “Two Songs” Op. 91 by Johannes Brahms, Notturno for Viola and Piano by Beethoven, arranged by William Primrose, and two Impromptus by Chopin.
