*Children's Activities*: 9:30 – 11:30 Exploring Trees, Bugs & Birds
~ Children must be accompanied by an older person.
~ Indoor and outdoor craft and exploratory activities – dress for outdoor activities and for the weather.
~ Come and go
~ Every child will be offered a coupon for a tree sapling.
~ Light healthy snacks will be provided by the Friends of Library.

9:00 – 1:00 A strenuous hike to the Huntington Town Forest with guide, Aaron Worthley.
9:30 – 11:30 A moderate walk to observe active, ecological forest management at the Hinesburg Town Forest with guide, Forester Ethan Tapper.
9:30 – 10:30 A moderately gentle walk to listen, watch and learn what birds choose to inhabit what landscapes with guide, Erin Talmage, at the Birds of Vermont Museum.

12:30 – 1:15 Forest Management - Management vs. No Management, Ethan Tapper.
1:15 – 2:00 Elm Tree Restoration in Vermont, Megan Gordon, The Nature Conservancy.
