Waste Warrior Training

Past event
May 22, 2019, 5 to 6:30 PM

The Center for an Agricultural Economy and the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District will put on a free training for Waste Warriors interested in helping make Hardwick's annual Springfest as close as possible to a Zero Waste event. This training will also help anyone interested in putting on their own Zero Waste events this summer learn more about how to do it. We expect those who take this free training to volunteer for a shift during the day at Springfest May 25 helping everyone who comes to celebrate to do so in the best fashion possible for our planet! We will have waste stations where everyone can put waste into compost and recycling if at all possible. We also will have dish washing stations so folks can wash our world-record-breaking dishes that day instead of throwing paper plates into the trash. Thanks to the Hardwick Kiwanis Club for supporting this effort to reduce waste (and have a good time doing it) for the past three years. Please get in touch to register for the training by e-mailing or calling CAE Community Programs Manager Bethany M. Dunbar bethany@hardwickagriculture.org or (802) 472-5362 ext. 204. Free snacks at the training! so I need to know how many will attend.
