The Vermont Philharmonic will be performing on Saturday April 27th at 7:30 in the Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph, and Sunday April 28th at 2 pm in the Barre Opera House, with Lou Kosma conducting.
The concert will open with The Walk to the Paradise Garden, from Frederick Delius's 1907 beautiful tragic opera, A Village Romeo and Juliet and the program will also include Dvořák's grand 6th symphony and the world premier Romanza: Serenade for Violin and Orchestra, composed by Joseph Marcello, with concertmaster Letitia Quante as soloist. Marcello is an award-winning composer from Northfield, Massachusetts, with many operas and musicals to his credit.
