On Saturday, April 20th, at 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Join Newfane Village Yoga and the 12×12 Environmental Initiative to welcome Pam Gale-Malhotra founder of the Sai Sanctuary, India's first private forest and wildlife sanctuary, as she talks at the Moore Free Library, 23 West Street, Newfane. Pam and her husband, Anil, have transformed abandoned farmlands into one of the most biodiversity-rich forests in India.
Pam will share how the Sai Sanctuary came to be, the scientific need for keeping forests and wildlife healthy and balanced along with the spiritual (or human) connection to nature. Come hear how the forests and wildlife are critical to the healthy, peaceful, and spiritual future of humankind, and how walking the path of life with Mother Nature as our guide and teacher will ensure we live in harmony and balance with each other and our environment.
The talk will include time for questions and answers as well as thoughts on what we can do in our local community to help globally.
Donations are accepted (suggested $10) and will go to Sai Sanctuary to help them continue and secure their efforts.
