As all of you know from reading your Gazette, there is a dance scheduled at the Grange on April 5th. The idea for this dance began long ago as so many enjoyed the dances throughout the 250th celebration and resurfaced through the VCRD Community Visit Program. As a sub-committee of the Grange Redevelopment Task force, the ‘community dance committee’ has attempted to organize this event to kick off spring, but a few hurdles have halted progress. Number 1 - Being a group with no start-up money makes it awfully difficult to hire a band! So... The idea continues with emphasis on being a community social event that requires little money……..

April 5th at the Grange there will be a Guilford Social with Open Mic, Jam Session, and hopefully Dancing upstairs – and - potluck finger foods with card games/ scrabble downstairs. If you play an instrument, like to dance, enjoy playing cards, or simply want to get to know more of your community, please save the date and come celebrate Guilford with us! The goal is to bring Guilford’s citizens of ALL AGES together through good times. Let’s make this first step a success so that it can evolve into dances with bands and other events in the future. We hope to see you there! ….and if you would like to help prepare for this event, let me know. Many hands make light work!!

**Let’s make this event one than can grow and continue. There are a handful of musicians already committed to attending, but the more the better! Please help spread the word to anyone you know who sings or plays... and they don’t have to live in Guilford. Thank you!
