Trapp Road: The Future of Public Access, Get the Facts, Have a Voice!!
Many people believe the entire length of Trapp Road is public--it is not. Trapp Road is a Class 3 town highway for 1.85 miles, beyond which is is private. Since 2004, the public's recreational enjoyment of the private segment has been by generous permission of the private landowner, Foundation for a Sustainable Future. On May 16, The Huntington Selectboard will hold a public hearing to consider whether to reclassify or upgrade a section of the public portion of the road. If you value recreating on Trapp Road, this is your chance to get ALL of the facts, and decide if you'd like your voice heard. The future of public access across the private portion is at risk. Please join us for this informational presentation followed by Q&A.
