There are still available spaces in the "Design Your Garden" workshop with Mimi Clark this coming Saturday, April 20th at the Waterbury Library beginning at noon . The snow is melting and mud season is a perfect season to get your imagination whirling. Many locals know Mimi from her extraordinary gardens planted by the sides of roads, from her garden articles in The Valley Reporter, The Montpelier Bridge, and The Times Argus. Many also know her as a local artist.
If you've wanted to do something different in your garden this year, or perhaps you are just beginning as a gardener come to the workshop. The group will meet at the library, walk across the parking lot to consider a small plot, head back to the library to draw up plans and then collaborate and share ideas. Optional materials to bring "Small Space Gardens" (the magazine/book is available at grocery store checkouts) one or two seed catalogs, or pictures of favorites gardens for inspiration. Call 244-7036 to register.
