NOFA-VT is excited to cook Friday Night Food Affair for the community this week and will highlight some of the amazing area farms growing and raising delicious and quality ingredients. The menu will include:
Shepherd's Pie w/roasted root veggies and ground beef
Veggie Shepherd's Pie w/roasted root veggies and lentils
Magenta Cabbage Salad
Panera Bread
Strafford Organic Ice Cream w/fresh raspberry sauce
Other yummy Desserts
Local farmers/producers who contributed to this meal include The Farm at VYCC, Richmond (root veggies, onions), Moultroup Valley Farm, Huntington (ground beef), Intervale Community Farm, Burlington (cabbage), Strafford Organic Creamery Strafford (ice cream).
The Friday Food Affair @5 is a free, community meal, held at the Congregational Church Fellowship hall on Bridge Street in Richmond from 5 - 7 pm. (Come in anytime during these hours.) Donations are accepted, but not expected. Donate if you can - it helps to keep us going. It is a great place to connect with friends before the weekend. Bring the kids, your parents, neighbors. Or, come alone and make some new friends.
You can use the Friday Food Affair as an opportunity to "throw a party" (for your friends and the greater community) without having to deal with setup, cleanup or cost. We handle all of the details.
