Naturalist Susan Sawyer Talks at Jeudevine Library

Learn about our corner of Vermont from noted Woodbury naturalist, teacher, artist and author, Susan Sawyer. She will discuss her book A guide to the natural history of The Northern Rivers Land Trust Area at the Jeudevine Library on Monday, April 29 at 7 PM. Sawyer will present a slide show and talk about the natural history of the area around Hardwick, in an informal and accessible style.

The book, rich with photos and text, provides residents and visitors with a better understanding of the places we live in and love. With chapters on geology, water, wetlands, trees and forests, and plant and animal inhabitants, this book is both broadly descriptive and specific to our corner of Vermont. This publication is accessible to the general reader, interesting to outdoor enthusiasts, and informative to conservationists. It is a comprehensive introduction and guide to the natural history of our area.
