Green Mountain Knitting Guild cordially invites you to join us in knitting and socializing on the State House Lawn. What better way is there to celebrate WWKIP Day than knitting on the State House Lawn!

We will sit on blankets and lawn chairs. Bring whichever makes you more comfortable. Also bring plenty of water, snacks, or whatever you need to sustain you for hours of knitting outside. A hat, sunscreen, and an umbrella may also be good items to bring depending on the weather. Don't forget to bring a project (or two) to work on!

If you have a canopy, feel free to bring it. We may be able to enjoy some shade if we put enough of them near each other! There are restaurants, coffee shops, and public restrooms a few minutes away by foot.

We had about 30-35 knitters join us last year. Bring your fiber enthusiast posse, and let's top that number! There will be a sign-in sheet, so we can keep track of how many join us. No fee and no limits on what fiber activity you enjoy! Just fun in the sun with fiber! If you've never knit, and you'd like to learn, don't be shy. There's usually someone around who's willing to share their passion with beginners.
