Food, Wine, Music: Spring Salon May 4

Past event
May 4, 2019, 6 to 8 PM

Gourmet Food and Wine. Masterful, intimate performances. A beautiful natural setting. Montpelier Chamber Orchestra is excited to present Spring Salon 2019 (aka Concert Crawl) on Saturday May 4th from 6-8 pm. This year, we will be "crawling" on the grounds of the beautiful and newly renovated North Branch Nature Center. Featuring chef Vince Muraco of Montpelier's The Hippie Chickpea, Vermont pianist Diane Huling, and renowned New York City oboist Ellen Katz.
Other transporting sounds: Jazz by Ruth Einstein and The Standard Deviations, Bach in the Barn with cellist Suzanne Smith and, if we are lucky, spring peepers and hooting owls!

Explore the newly renovated North Branch Nature Center while grazing on chef-prepared gourmet dishes (both meat and vegetarian/vegan options), wine, sangria, and a champagne and dessert course. MCO Music Director, Anne Decker, curates musical guest ensembles followed by a solo concert with renowned oboist, Ellen Katz Willner, in collaboration with Vermont's own virtuoso pianist, Diane Huling. Ms. Willner is a member of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra, served as principal oboist of both the Bogota and Caracas symphony orchestras, and was a founding member of the Quintet of the Americas.

Tickets are $75 per person (includes food, drinks and musical performances) and benefits the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra and the North Branch Nature Center. Reserve your spot by sending a check to MCO, PO Box 272, Montpelier, VT 05601 or pay on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-spring-salon-tickets-59271280997?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
