Rural Vermont hosts these fun and informative events designed to orient folks to the State House, the legislative process, and citizen advocacy. On April 25th, we host the final Small Farm Advocacy Day of the 2019 legislative session. You'll get to meet your legislators, observe committees in action and possibly witness final votes on the floor of the House and Senate. For those who are interested, there may also be the opportunity to provide testimony on an issue you care about. We also have a limited number of Farmer Stipends to help offset the costs of taking a day away from the farm. AND as a special treat (and effective lure for legislators), we will have delicious donuts courtesy of Miss Weinerz.
RSVP now so we can keep you informed about the plans for the day: https://www.ruralvermont.org/news/2019/4/2/small-farm-advocacy-day-4-at-the-vt-state-house
