Restorative Community Justice of Southern Vermont (RCJSV) is a community-based and volunteer-powered nonprofit serving the West River Valley and southeastern Vermont. We host monthly trainings that are FREE to anyone in the community about the use of restorative practices, including: restorative circles, mediation, conflict resolution, and nonviolent communication. We also offer free services to the community to help resolve interpersonal & other conflicts. For more, check out our website at: http://www.rcjsv.org
This two-part training is co-facilitated by NVC practitioner, Laurie Rabut, and RCJSV Exec Director, Dan DeWalt. The training will be an in-depth exploration of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and it's relationship to restorative circle processes. Participants will gain experience through role playing, discussion, and time to practice skills together.
WHEN: Two Saturdays, April 20 & April 27, from 10am-1pm (both sessions recommended).
WHERE: Rockingham Free Public Library, 65 Westminster St in Bellows Falls, VT.
RSVP by sending an email to rcjsvt@gmail.com or replying to this post.
The facilitators ask that people try to make a commitment to both days, so as to better accommodate an in-depth exploration of skills and (most importantly) be able to practice! If you have experience with NVC or have taken our past NVC trainings with Laurie, you could register for the second training only. If you're not able to do both but still want to attend one session, let us know in advance.
