Save the Date: Pete Seeger Centennial Sing-along Concert,

Saturday, May 11, 7:00, Middlelbury United Methodist Church, 43 N. Pleasant Street

Legendary folk singer, Pete Seeger, who died at age 94 in 2014, would have turned 100 this year. Peter Blood and Annie Patterson, friends of Pete's and authors of the two sing-along books, Rise Up Singing and Rise Again (both with a Preface by Pete Seeger), have just published a new song book with fifty classic songs Pete performed, recorded, and taught audiences all over the world. They are celebrating Pete's centennial with a series of concerts, and Middlebury is hosting one of these concerts! Performing with Peter and Annie will be Charlie King, and The RIX (Rik Palieri from Hinesburg and Rick Nestler), who all performed with Pete over many years. Song books and CD's will be on sale at the Concert. This concert will be a benefit for the Open Door Clinic.
