Madeleine Kunin to Speak April 26

On April 26th, 6PM. at Green Mountain Technology and Career Center, Community Room. A reading and talk with Madeleine Kunin, Vermont's first, and to date, only woman governor and author of a new memoir, Coming of Age: My Journey to the Eighties. Life expectancy, for many, is increasing, yet people rarely contemplate the emotional changes that come alongside the physical changes of aging. Madeleine wants to change that. Coming of Age: My Journey to the Eighties takes a close and incisive look at what it is like to grow old. The book is a memoir, yet most important of all, it is an honest and positive look at aging and how it has affected her life. Her book will be for sale at the event.

The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by Lamoille Neighbors and Lanpher Memorial Library.donations to Lamoille Neighbors are appreciated.

Lamoille Neighbors is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization that aims to help its members stay in the homes they love with support from their neighbors. It provides services such as volunteers to help with transportation, technology, light household tasks, outdoor work, meals post-surgery; ongoing social, cultural and educational opportunities; and vetted professionals for larger projects. Lamoille Neighbors charges a membership fee to cover expenses associated with liability insurance, background checks, and technology.
