A great group of local jazz musicians will present a concert of the compositions of Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Carla Bley, Slide Hampton, Willie Smith and Dan Silverman on Sunday, April 14 at 3 PM at the Flynn Space, 153 Main St in Burlington. Tickets are $25 and can be gotten through www.flynncenter.org The music is led by composer, arranger, trombonist, and Hinesburg resident Dan Silverman, and features, Dave Ellis, Herm Matlock, Dave Grippo, Chris Peterman, George Voland, Tim Foley, Mike Hartigan, Clyde Stats, and Jeff Salisbury, with special guest vocalist Judi Silvano. For people who love jazz and also people who want to want more exposure to jazz, hope to see you there!
