An Apprentice Boat Builder in Japan
Douglas Brooks, boat builder, writer, researcher and Vergennes resident, specializes in the construction of traditional wooden boats for museums and private clients. He studied with six boat builders from across Japan between 1996 and 2015. In this talk, Douglas will share his experiences with these traditional craftsmen.
