"Leadership is an evolving process and, as such, our understanding of what leadership is must evolve in accordance. In the past the world understood leadership as the great deeds of heroes; now we are in another phase of global transition that requires an understanding of leadership based on our understanding of interdependency." --Nora Bateson
WholeHeart warmly welcomes community leaders of all ages to attend to our upcoming Spring Intergenerational Leadership Exchange on Saturday April 27, 2019 from 10am-4pm at the Green Mountain Monastery in Greensboro.
Using a workshop model initiated by the Berrett-Koehler Foundation, Intergenerational Leadership Exchanges bring together leaders from a variety of fields and backgrounds for a day-long think-tank in which to exchange ideas, inspiration, and practical means for addressing today's most critical concerns. The 2019 Spring Exchange will foster a deeper understanding around interdependency and interconnectedness.
This workshop will include:
Spaciousness for reflection
Small group discussion & collaboration
Opportunity to challenge generational myths
Lessons from the natural world
Collective inspiration to lead with conviction & grace
Lunch is included. We invite you to bring a friend, an acquaintance, or someone whose leadership you would like to encourage. For more information and to register visit: http://www.wholeheartinc.org/events/2018/10/13/day-long-spring-intergenerational-leadership-exchange
This Exchange will be co-facilitated by Beth Cate and Holly Wilkinson. Beth works at Buffalo Mountain Co-op and has often been a participant in WholeHeart's Leadership Exchanges. She is actively exploring and claiming personal and community definitions of leadership. Holly is Executive Director of WholeHeart where she continually is invited to stretch, question and explore the edges and lessons of leadership. They are excited to collaborate together.
