Yoga nidra is a guided practice designed to bring the practitioner to a deep state of relaxation in order to cultivate better self-awareness and inspire positive change. This technique is accessible to all, as the only thing required is to rest comfortably and listen to the guides voice. Nidra in Sanskrit means sleep and yoga nidra is often referred to as "yogic sleep". Some benefits include help with insomnia, relaxation, a heightened internal awareness, increased focus, and greater emotional awareness. Class will start with a few restorative yoga postures to ensure comfort and ease in the body during the guided technique.
