Ethan Allen Homestead Volunteer and Information Session
Sunday, April 7th, 2:00 – 3:15 pm
Do you enjoy Vermont history and/or enjoy meeting people? Consider coming to the Homestead this coming Sunday to meet our volunteers, learn about opportunities which might appeal to you, and enjoy some refreshments.
Some of the many ways you can help your museum…..
Greeter: Welcome visitors from around the globe and help them have an enjoyable experience.
Tour Guide: Interpret the life of Ethan Allen to show how pioneers lived here on the Vermont frontier.
Administrative Assistant: Assist the manager and board with simple office duties.
Collections Assistant: Help to keep collections in good order, including Ethan's home.
Repairs and maintenance: Odd jobs as requested to keep museum in good order.
Event planning and set-up: Help plan events and fund-raising throughout the year.
Lecture and events refreshments: Sign up to help provide refreshments to our lectures and events. A good time to use your baking skills.
Gardening: Help plan and maintain our Fanny's 18th century kitchen garden. If you love the thought of seeing things grow but don't have the space or time to do it all yourself, become involved and bring your friends along. Many hands make light work and the rewards are outdoors, sunshine and visitor appreciation.
