Stop Trafficking, Middlebury College's anti-human trafficking student organization, is hosting a panel event in Dana Auditorium in Sunderland. The panel will consist of Darlene Pawlik, a survivor of sex trafficking; Princy Prasad from Nomi Network; and Middlebury Professor Sarah Stroup, to offer an interdisciplinary lens on the issue of human trafficking- what it is, why it occurs, and how we can stop it. After a discussion among the panelists, there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience. Following the event, there will be Nomi Network products for sale, made by at-risk women in India and Cambodia who are working with Nomi Network to learn job and technical skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty.
