The Basics of Backyard Composting

So you have some banana peels and apple cores hanging around and you don't want to throw them into the trash any more. Well we have the tools to help you put your garbage can on a diet. The Mad River Resource Management Alliance(MRRMA) is offering a workshop on composting at the Waterbury Public Library on April 27, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 am. At this work shop you will learn how to compost; where to compost; why we compost and how much fun it is to be a composter. As a bonus, if you participate in the workshop you are eligible to purchase a Soil Saver Compost Bin for a reduced price of only $35.00. We will also have some information on Green Cones if you are interested in processing meat, bones and related materials at home and want to get a Green Cone for $125.00 you should participate in this workshop. To preregister please send your name, address, phone number and email address to: John Malter, MRRMA, PO Box 210, Waterbury Century, VT 05677 by April 25, 2019. Got questions email John Malter at malterport@aol.com.
