The St. Johnsbury School Theater department presents "The Wizard of Oz" (Young Performers' Edition), a Tams-Witmark Music Library adaptation of the 1939 blockbuster film, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5 in the school auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors.

"Recreating iconic characters from a much-loved musical is a daunting task that our students have taken on with such energy and joy," says St. Johnsbury School music teacher Kaitlyn Bryant, who is directing the show along with 6th-grade teacher James Darden.

"Our students have been hands-on with this production – creating and painting sets with Carl Johnson and Carol LeBarron, organizing and making costumes for our performers, and working diligently to learn lines and directions," adds Bryant. "We have an outstanding group this year, and we are so excited to perform for our school and community."
