Carol Berry will present "Chemical-Free Cleaning Solutions" on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Manchester Community Library.
We are surrounded by many potentially harmful chemicals. Not all of these chemicals have been tested by the EPA, and yet they are found in the ordinary things that we use in our homes, on our bodies, and in our food. This talk will focus on cleaning products and laundry detergents and how we can make them safer to use in our homes so that our health and that of our children is not compromised. We will also talk about chemical-laden air fresheners and what safe and natural alternatives will clean the indoor air we breathe.
Author and Lecturer Carol Berry, of Manchester, is an avid reader of labels on all kinds of products, from food, to shampoos, to detergents. Based on her research, too many of these labels contain chemicals that are potentially harmful. For years, Carol has sought ways to use less added chemicals in her home and will share some of her insights, knowledge and experience.
The event is free and open to the public. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Ave., at the corner of Rt. 7A and Cemetery Ave. in Manchester Center, VT. Info: events@mclvt.org or call 802-362-2607.
