CONTRACTORS --- Please join us for our annual informational seminar for projects funded through the Vermont Center for Independent Living's Home Access Program (HAP). During these seminars, topics to be covered include an overview of this program as well as "How to talk to and work with people with disabilities" and other aspects of access projects. A contractor's roundtable discussion will take place during a working lunch to discuss problem solving and successes in these home modification projects.

Locations for 2019 include:

- Lyndonville on Tuesday, April 23, 9:30a-12:30p
- Springfield on Wednesday, April 24, 9:30a-12:30p
- Montpelier on Thursday, April 25, 9:30a-12:30p.

VCIL's Home Access Program specifically helps fund bathroom modifications, ramps and other accessibility modifications in homes throughout the state for low income Vermonters who have permanent disabilities. VCIL anticipates about 40 Scopes of Work going out to bid, statewide, and is always looking to secure reliable, competent and compassionate contractors. One goal is to make these homes accessible so VCIL peers can live independently in their own homes.

Pre-registration is requested by April 15, 2019. Reserve a seat at the location of your choice by contacting HAP Specialist Susan Britto at SBritto@VCIL.org or 802-224-1827 and details will be sent with your confirmation.
