Lewis Franco and the Missing Cats!
While repairs continue at The Ripton Community House, this concert will be in downtown Lincoln.
We'll be back in Ripton for our May 4th show!
Lewis Franco has been a fixture on the Vermont acoustic music scene for many years, entertaining audiences of all ages with clever and occasionally profound lyrics, delightfully tuneful melodies, and a fun-loving presence. With the Missing Cats, we are treated to a dynamic acoustic jazz combo with Lewis Franco, guitar and vocals, Will Patton, mandolin, Dono Shabner, guitar, Clyde Staats, bass and Susannah Blachly and Halle Toulis, harmony vocals.
They perform originals as well as gypsy and jive swing tunes from the 1930s and '40s, featuring close 3-part vocal rhythm harmonies and thrilling improvisation!
Vermont Public Radio's Robert Resnik calls Franco, "a brilliant songwriter – one of our very finest."
This is an all-star group of musicians not to be missed!
This month's refreshment sales will benefit Friends of the Ripton School
They always have amazing goodies!
Teas, coffee, lemonade and hot chocolate are also available.
