Just a reminder that Harris Roen and I are hosting a fundraising dinner this Monday night, April 1, (no joke!) at 6:30 pm.
We are supporting a partnership that's collecting and recycling perfectly good medical supplies that local hospitals are required to discard, and then shipping them to the Bor County Hospital in South Sudan.
Burlingtonian Akol Aguek is originally from Bor County in South Sudan. Come hear his inspiring story from being a Lost Boy of Sudan to his successful career here in Vermont and Washington, D.C.
Traditional South Sudanese dishes will be served (as well as some local favorites). This event is open to everyone.
